Wade Howell
DIRECTOR, TEAM OPERATIONS
Wade Howell has over 30 years of experience in the sports industry, spanning college athletics, MLB, and affiliated and partner baseball and hockey teams. Wade currently serves as Director of Team Operations where he oversees the business operations at REV-owned properties, as well as REV Food Service.
During his previous tenure with the Texas Rangers, Howell served as Vice President of Minor League Baseball, where he oversaw the business operations for the newly created Down East Wood Ducks (High-A), as well as the Hickory Crawdads (Low-A). Under Howell’s leadership, Grainger Stadium (Hickory) was recognized as Field of the Year for the Carolina League for three consecutive years.
Howell was instrumental in the launch of the Down East Wood Ducks. The Wood Ducks were recognized as Best New Logo by Baseball America in 2017, as well as leading the team to record attendance records.
Howell also brought the Hickory Crawdads into profitability in two years. Wade also coordinated the efforts of the Rangers legal, IT, and HR departments in the establishment of REV Food Services.
Wade started his career in college athletics in 1993 as Director of Marketing and Promotions for the University of Alabama Athletic Department. He then moved to ISP Sports in 1997 and sold multi-media partnerships for the athletic departments at the University of Alabama, University of Missouri, Florida State University, and Georgia Tech. He then served as General Manager and oversaw ISP start-up properties at Tulane University, Boston College, and UNLV from 2001-2011.
Wade first joined the Texas Rangers in 2012 as Senior Director of Media Sales, overseeing the advertising sales for the Rangers Radio Network.
