Since its inception in 2021, the College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field has established itself as the nation’s premier early-season showcase. More than 475,000 fans have attended games at Globe Life Field, while 57 participating teams have gone on to earn NCAA Tournament berths later that same season. Every year since the series began, at least one participating team has advanced to Omaha for the College World Series with four ultimately winning national titles (Oklahoma – 2026, LSU – 2025, Tennessee – 2024, Mississippi State – 2021).

“The College Baseball Series continues to attract the very best programs in the country, and the 2027 fields are among the strongest we’ve assembled,” said Jared Schrom, Senior Vice President of REV Entertainment. “These tournaments are a destination for college baseball fans nationwide and provide a championship-caliber experience for teams, student-athletes and supporters alike. We are proud to continue partnering with Shriners Children’s and Amegy Bank to deliver an event that makes a meaningful impact both on and off the field.”

The announcement comes as the College Baseball Series prepares for its largest schedule to date. In 2027, the series will expand to seven tournaments across five locations, further strengthening its position as one of the premier event properties in the sport. Additional tournament locations will be announced later this week.

The Shriners Children’s College Showdown returns for its fourth consecutive year at Globe Life Field after setting attendance records in 2026. Last year’s event welcomed 57,772 fans over three days, including a single-day college baseball attendance record of 22,384 on Saturday, Feb. 22. Since moving to Globe Life Field in 2024, the tournament has generated nearly $1 million in support of Shriners Children’s and its mission to provide world-class pediatric specialty care regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

“The Shriners Children’s College Showdown has become one of the premier events in college baseball and an incredible platform to raise awareness for our mission,” said Dustin Johnson, Executive Director of Sports for Shriners Children’s. “We’re grateful to REV Entertainment, the participating schools and the thousands of fans who continue to support our efforts to provide hope and healing to children around the world.”

Amegy Bank returns as title sponsor of the College Baseball Series for a third consecutive year and will once again support Shriners Children’s through proceeds generated by the tournaments.

“Amegy Bank is proud to continue our partnership with REV Entertainment and the College Baseball Series,” said Carlos Munguia, DFW Region President and CEO of Amegy Bank. “These tournaments bring together exceptional competition, passionate fan bases and a commitment to giving back. We are honored to support an event that creates lasting memories while making a positive difference in communities.”
