SCHAUMBURG, Illinois — REV Entertainment was officially introduced as the new ownership group of the Schaumburg Boomers during a special event held Wednesday at Wintrust Field, joined by local community leaders and partners.
REV Entertainment President Sean Decker delivered remarks alongside former owner Pat Salvi, Boomers Executive Vice President & General Manager Michael Larson, Schaumburg Mayor Tom Dailly, and Frontier League Commissioner Steve Tahsler. The full press conference can be viewed on the Boomers’ YouTube page (link here).
The introduction marked the official start of an exciting new chapter for the Boomers, one of the Frontier League’s premier franchises. Since their inception in 2012, Schaumburg has captured four league championships – tied for the most in league history – and earned five Organization of the Year honors.
The event followed last week’s announcement that REV Entertainment acquired the franchise from Pat and Lindy Salvi, who had owned the team since its founding in 2012.
In honor of Pat Salvi’s leadership, REV Entertainment announced a $10,000 donation to Team Lost Souls – an organization supporting Alzheimer’s research that the Boomers have proudly partnered with for many years.
With the addition of the Boomers, REV Entertainment now owns and operates clubs across the nation’s top MLB Partner Leagues, including the American Association of Professional Baseball (Cleburne Railroaders and Kane County Cougars — the 2024 and 2025 league champions), the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (Long Island Ducks), and the Frontier League (Schaumburg Boomers). REV also owns and operates the New Mexico Goatheads of the ECHL, with all aforementioned franchises overseen by the company’s Sports Management division.
