REV Entertainment Announces Purchase of Long Island Ducks and Schaumburg Boomers

ARLINGTON, TX — REV Entertainment today announced the purchase of the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and the Schaumburg Boomers of the Frontier League, adding two highly successful franchises to the company’s expanding team ownership portfolio.

With the additions of Long Island and Schaumburg, REV Entertainment now owns and operates teams across the country’s top MLB Partner Leagues, including the American Association of Professional Baseball (Cleburne Railroaders and Kane County Cougars — the 2024 & 2025 League Champions), the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (Long Island Ducks), and the Frontier League (Schaumburg Boomers).

“We are excited to welcome the Long Island Ducks and Schaumburg Boomers into the REV family,” said Sean Decker, President of REV Entertainment. “Both organizations have a strong track record of success on the field and deep roots in their communities. Our goal is to build upon that foundation by enhancing the fan experience, supporting our local partners, and positioning each franchise for long-term growth and sustainability.”

The Long Island Ducks have competed in the Atlantic League since 2000 and are the only professional baseball team located on suburban Long Island. The team plays its home games at Fairfield Properties Ballpark in Central Islip, NY. The Ducks are the all-time leader in wins and attendance in Atlantic League history, have led all MLB Partner League in total attendance for five consecutive seasons, and have sold out a record 721 games all-time.

The Schaumburg Boomers joined the Frontier League in 2012 and play their home games at Wintrust Field in Schaumburg, IL outside of Chicago. The Boomers have won four Frontier League titles (2013, 2014, 2017, 2021), have led the league in attendance every season since their inaugural year, and have been named the league’s Organization of the Year five times.

REV Entertainment’s Sports Management division will oversee all business operations for the teams going forward, with a focus on preserving each club’s identity, focusing on community relationships, and creating new opportunities for growth and innovation.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING

“I have always viewed my ownership of the Long Island Ducks as a public trust and any successor had to be in lock step with that belief. REV Entertainment has that commitment and are the right owners to take the Ducks forward into the future and keep QuackerJack dancing on the dugout tops for many years to come. I am grateful to the fans, friends, sponsors and entire Long Island community for their support for 25 incredible seasons of Ducks baseball and am confident it will only get better as we enter the next 25!”

– Frank Boulton, Previous Owner of the Long Island Ducks

“I want to sincerely thank Pat and Lindy Salvi for their years of dedication and stewardship of this organization. Their commitment laid the foundation for what this team means to our fans and our community. At the same time, I’m excited to welcome REV Entertainment and look forward to what we can build together. This is a new chapter rooted in respect for our past and enthusiasm for what’s ahead.”

– Michael Larson, Executive Vice President & General Manager of the Schaumburg Boomers

“This is an exciting time. While we have experienced unprecedented success in our first 25 years, we honor the past by safeguarding its legacy for generations to come. In that spirit, I look forward to working with REV on continuing to provide Long Island with the cleanest, safest, most fan friendly and affordable way for people to spend their discretionary dollar.”

– Michael Pfaff, President of the Long Island Ducks

“The decision to sell the Boomers was bittersweet for my wife, Lindy and I. Owning the Boomers over the last 14 years has been a great joy, and I am very proud of the work we have done to become an anchor of the community and entertainment destination in Schaumburg and throughout the Northwest Suburbs. I am grateful for the support and relationships that I have built with our fans, partners, players, and the Village of Schaumburg, which I will cherish forever.  REV Entertainment, led by Sean Decker, is going to be a wonderful new owner to lead the Boomers, I am excited to watch REV build upon our successes and lead the Boomers into the future.”

– Patrick A. Salvi, Previous Owner of the Schaumburg Boomers

“We are excited to welcome REV Entertainment to the Frontier League.  Pat and Lindy Salvi have been great partners during their time in the Frontier League and have evolved the Boomers into our flagship operation.  We look forward to REV Entertainment continuing this momentum and bringing their expertise to us.”

– Steve Tahsler, Commissioner of the Frontier League

“The Long Island Ducks have been a cornerstone franchise of the Atlantic League since their inception in 2000. They have served as a shining example of strong leadership and outstanding performance throughout their history. REV Entertainment is uniquely suited to maintain that combination of stewardship and success with their purchase of the Ducks. I am excited for the future of the Atlantic League and to see the impact that REV Entertainment brings to the Ducks with their tremendous experience and passion for the game.”

– Rick White, President of the Atlantic League
